During the University Festival of Fine Arts for students of Iraqi Universities by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi said that the artistic embodiment of creative capabilities is equivalent in terms of importance to the scientific tests performed by universities and taken by students during or at the end of semesters to measure the indicator of academic achievement.

Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed that consolidating the creative environment in academic institutions is a revealing way to assess the level of the university and the extent of its interaction with its educational goals and programs.

His Excellency added that the university administrations are required to pay attention to these events and focus on the student, his/her talents and potentials and work to meet them optimally.

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the establishment of the creative university environment represents a revealing means through which the level of the university can be assessed and the extent of its interaction with its goals, educational programs and plans in the short, medium and strategic term, its dealings with the human element, which is the most important component of the educational process.

His Excellency stressed the need for universities to develop effective plans to manage their human resources, measure their qualifications, and take into account the availability of a sufficient number of them in each department and scientific branch to be able to implement academic programs and review selection criteria through the perspective of tasks and implementation of responsibilities so that the project of developing creativity in all public and private universities and colleges alike is achieved.

Dr. Al-Aboudi honored the representatives of forty-five public and private universities and colleges who participated in the Fine Arts Festival.

For his part, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University expressed the University optimism and appreciation for the follow-up and interaction by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the level of response and interaction to university programs and their applied aspects.

It is worth mentioning that the festival was president, Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, presidents of the universities of Kufa and Jaber bin Hayyan.
