Higher Education Announces On More Than Hundred Iraqi Universities & Colleges Obtain Top Scores In Webometrics Ranking

Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on that more than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges obtained competitive scores in the global Webometrics rankings in the first half of 2023.

 Higher Education reviewed that (11993) university institutions around the world competed according to the indicators that evaluate the virtual presence of universities via their scores, indicating the clarity rate by (50%), transparency by (10%) and strength and excellence of research by (40%), as well as University of Baghdad obtained the score (1561), Universities of Diyala and Al-Mustansiriyah, Mosul, Babylon, Basrah, Al-Qadisiyah, Kufa, Technology, Anbar, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical and other Iraqi universities and colleges were scores by the official website of Webometrics of the Supreme Center for Scientific Research in Spain (https://www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq)

 It is worth mentioning that Iraqi universities and colleges achieved increasing competition scores in international rankings, including Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, in which the University of Baghdad obtained top score within the chemical engineering major, (The Times) Rankikng, in which eight universities obtained top score, (QS) Ranking, in which five universities obtained top score and (Scimago) Ranking, in which twenty-two institutions obtained top score, (Greenmetric) Ranking, in which seventy-three Iraqi universities and colleges obtained top score and URA Ranking, in which four Iraqi universities obtained top score, as well as (Webometrics) Ranking, in which more than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges obtained top score.
