Dr. Al-Aboudi Visits The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna capital of Austria , His Excellency Reviews International Cooperation & Partnership in Scientific Research Fields

During a visit to the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research,  Science and Technology and the Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Authority, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed cooperation and international partnership in the fields of specialized scientific research.

During a meeting with the Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Head of the Technical Cooperation Department, Mr. Hua Liu, Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted aspects of partnership between Iraq and the IAEA in the fields of using peaceful nuclear technologies that contribute to the development of scientific research and control of some Diseases and provide a coordination environment for the adoption of regional centers for cancer treatment in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

His Excellency demonstrated with nuclear security officials in Asian and African countries supporting projects represented by the possibility of opening a regional center for nuclear security in Iraq.

It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by Iraq’s permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Ambassador Bakr Fattah Hussein and a number of representatives of the relevant Departments, as well as the Iraqi delegation, headed by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi conducted a visit to the International Atomic Energy Agency laboratories and also reviewed the contexts of scientific understanding in order to obtain research fellowships for workers in Iraqi research centers and postgraduate students.
