During Joint Cultural Event Between Students of Baghdad University & Technology University, Dr. Al-Aboudi Confirms on Embodying University Education’s Goals in Vital & Strategic Fields & Community Service

During the competitive event and the joint cultural debate between the students of Department of Automated Manufacturing Engineering, College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi, University of Baghdad and students of the Department of Life Medicine Engineering, the University of Technology from the Department of Production and Minerals Engineering and the Department of Life Medicine Engineering, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi confirmed that the Ministry is working to embody the goals of university education in all vital and strategic fields and to meet community service.

Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working with determination on the true and realistic embodiment of the objectives of university education and bringing it to the area of ​​beneficial application in all vital and strategic fields and meeting the need of society in an effective manner that prevents all possibilities of wasting youth energies.

His Excellency added that creating awareness and raising the level of culture and critical thinking is one of the most important priorities in building the student’s personality and knowledge identity that borrows from the content of Iraqi culture in presence, distinction and creativity.

Dr. Al-Aboudi continued by saying that the responsibility rests with everyone in charting the right path for these young people on the path of building awareness and self-realization and enabling them to have an environment of cultural interaction that constitutes a wall against waves of ignorance and consumption.

It is worth mentioning that those in charge of the cultural debate gave a brief explanation about its history and previous versions that emerged from the University of Technology, while the participating students from the two teams competed to reap the results of the required answers according to the questions chosen by students from the various scientific and cultural fields and technology has a large interactive presence and participation in the paragraphs that concern the public, as well as the event was attended by the Ministry’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd and President of the University Baghdad, Dr. Munir Al-Saadi, President of the University of Technology, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghabban and a number of faculty and students.
