Dr. Al-Aboudi Meets Babylon University’s Council & His Excellency Stresses Quality & Development of Performance Indicators’ Importance Responsible for Implementation of Academic Programs

During a meeting with the Council of the University of Babylon , His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi stressed the importance of meeting quality requirements and developing performance indicators responsible for implementing academic programs and advanced educational paths, meeting the needs of the labor market and taking into account changes in the field of specialized knowledge.

Dr. Al-Aboudi added that the new transformations in the Higher Education environment, especially the Bologna Pricess, will provide a suitable environment for infrastructure projects, classrooms, laboratories modernization and the promotion of productive international partnerships that make Iraqi universities part of the global education system.

His Excellency highlighted the importance of the vital role played by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to support the state sectors and integration with them and provide effective contributions in finding solutions to development challenges.

For their part, Dr. Al-Jubouri and a number of Deans reviewed the most important stages achieved by the University in implementing programs, developing scientific research and modernizing the educational environment that contributes to community service, as well as the university’s preparations for applying the Bologna Process in engineering and science specialties in the next academic year.

It is worth to be mentioned that the meeting was attended by Babylon University’s President, University’s Assistants and Deans of Colleges of Medicine, Hammurabi Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Science, Nursing, Engineering, Materials Engineering, Information Technology, Science for Women, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Sports Sciences, Education for Pure Sciences, Management, Economics, Law, Arts and Education for Humanities Islamic Sciences and Basic Education.
