During a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to Iraq, Mr. Radu Octavian Dobri, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed developing of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Al-Aboudi affirmed that the Ministry and its universities are looking for more coordination and cooperation with Romanian Higher Education’s institutions through a project that includes the exchange of experiences in the fields of higher education and scientific research and related prospects responsible for mutual understanding.
His Excellency added that the Iraqi Higher Education is keen on concluding a memorandum of understanding with its Romanian counterpart and supporting more twinning programs between universities, scientific publishing, exchange of experiences and scholarships, especially after launching the “Study in Iraq” initiative to admit international students in Iraqi universities.
For his part, Mr. Dobre praised the interest of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi in international openness and the achievement of global cooperation and partnerships and the embodiment of this interest in the “Study in Iraq” project.
Mr. Dobre stressed on his country’s readiness on developing scientific and academic cooperation to serve bilateral cooperation relations.
