Higher Education Announces Eight Iraqi Universities Obtained Competitive Scores in Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2023

Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that eight Iraqi universities obtained important competitive scores in Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2023.

Higher Education official website (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2023/regional-ranking#!/length/25/locations/IRQ/sort_by/rank/sort_order/asc/cols/stats) reviewed a rating of six hundred sixty-nine universities from thirty-one countries, including Iraq, where the University of Babylon obtained the 199th score, University of Technology obtained 251-300th score, University of Anbar obtained 301-350th score, Universities of Baghdad, Mosul and Mustansiriyah obtained 501-600th score and Basrah and Kufa obtained 601 score in Asia.

It is worth to be mentioned that the Times Ranking of Asian Universities evaluates universities according to 5 basic criteria: education by 25%, scientific research by 30%, citations by 30%, international outlook by 7.5%, knowledge transfer by 7.5%.

It is worth to be mentioned that Iraqi universities and colleges record their increasing competition in international rankings, including the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, in which the University of Baghdad obtained top score within the chemical engineering major, (The Times) Ranking, in which eight Universities obtained top score, (QS) Ranking, in which there are five Universities obtained top score, Universities and (Greenmetric) Ranking, in which seventy-three Iraqi Universities and Colleges obtained top score, and URA Ranking, in which four Iraqi Universities obtained top score, as well as (Webometrics) Ranking, which obtained top score and competition of more than one hundred Iraqi Universities and Colleges.
