A Study at the University of Karbala Discusses the Preparation of Titanium Dioxide Doped with Gold Nanoparticles

A master’s thesis at the College of Science at the University of Karbala discussed the preparation of titanium dioxide doped with gold nanoparticles as photocatalysts.

The study, submitted by the student Rasha Jameel Naima from the Physics Department, aimed to prepare pure titanium and titanium doped with gold at different ratios.

The study concluded that the performance of titanium doped with gold as a photocatalyst for dye degradation is better than pure titanium.

The study recommended the need to investigate the effect of acidity and the effect of the temperature used during annealing.
