Within a scientific program for this academic year of the Department of Biology Sciences, Prof. Dr. Belqis Hadi Hashem gave a scientific lecture in a seminar titled “Modern Electronic Learning Strategies in Education” on Tuesday 16/2/2021 at the department’s headroom. This meeting was attended by a number of the department’s professors and researchers.
Dr. Belqis has clarified that e-learning is summarized as one of the means that supports the educational process and its transformation from the phase of indoctrination, classic or imitation to the phase of creativity, interaction and skill development, and it combines all electronic forms of teaching and learning, where the latest methods are used in the fields of education and publishing by adopting computers and their storage media and networks .
She added that e-learning is one of these advanced patterns of so-called distance learning generally, and computer-based education particularly. E-learning relies mainly on computers and networks to transfer knowledge and skills. Its applications include web-based learning, computer-based learning, virtual classrooms, and digital collaboration. The content of the lessons is presented online, videos and CDs, as well as answering all questions, and sending tests and research papers through the software or email.
She has indicated that e-learning is one of the strategies of a merged education in universities and institutes, and that the new technology entry to the teaching and learning process is what brought a merged education to the limelight and this type of education is a form of art that the teacher uses to combine different resources and activities within the scope of learning environments that enable The learner to interact and build ideas.
