During the chanting ceremony of the medical oath for the graduates of the ninety-first session of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi confirmed the commitment of the Ministry’s institutions and keenness on the quality of education.
Dr. Al-Aboudi called on specialists in Medical Education to complete the requirements of international accreditation.
His Excellency reviewed that the Ministry’s responsible stand with the challenges and the quantitative indicator of the number of students graduated from middle school and provided an organized environment for competition and admission in the medical group and that it is committed and proceeding with determination to adopt the quality of education as a basis and a focus.
Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted that it cannot be waived of quality of education under any circumstances.
His Excellency called on the specialists to put their well-known mark on the international accreditation spaces and complete its requirements according to international standards and academic reputation requirements that guarantee qualitative graduates in the field of medical education.
Dr. Al-Aboudi expressed the Ministry hope that the new graduates would shoulder their responsibilities in providing medical and health services and making every effort to preserve the quality of medical and health giving for the honorable Iraqi people.
His Excellency appreciating the role of professors and faculty members in the medical education sector who endured difficulties and dealt with challenges in a spirit of national responsibility in order to achieve the objectives of the educational institution and graduate these equipped formations with science and knowledge.
Dr. Al-Aboudi honored the top students and renewed the support of the Ministry of Higher Education and its institutions for its graduates.
His Excellency urged them to further scientific advancement, knowledge expansion and global publication in the fields of specialized medical knowledge.
For their part, Minister of Health, President of the University of Baghdad and Dean of the College of Medicine delivered speeches and highlighted the tasks expected of graduates and the responsibilities entrusted to them in providing medical services, importance of scientific communication, performance development and skills enhancement.
It is worth mentioning that the graduated students chanted the medical section of the ninety-first session entitled (With knowledge Homelands are Built) for the academic year 2021/2022.
It is worth mentioning that the ceremony was attended by Minister of Health, President of the University of Baghdad, Head of the Iraqi Council for Medical Specializations, members of the Council of the College of Medicine, a number of Deans of the Colleges, General Directors of the Ministry of Health, representatives of the relevant sectorial unions and the alumni.
