During a visit to the University of Kufa in Al-Najaf Governorate, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed the progress of the educational process and follow up on academic projects.

Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted the requirements for direct support for the university institution, its research centers and educational laboratories.

His Excellency stressed that the Ministry is keen on making Iraqi universities centers of knowledge polarization and an important tributary for all sectors of the state, as well as employing its graduates in the fields of community service.

Dr. Al-Aboudi that there are challenges related to the budget of the Ministry , as well as activating all available capabilities to overcome the requirements related to research programs.

His Excellency demonstrated that the interventions of the members of the University Council, who welcomed the field visit and the direct follow-up of the environment of Iraqi universities and their scientific and educational requirements.

Dr. Al-Aboudi inaugurated the building of the scientific departments of the College of Dentistry, as well as His Excellency was briefed on its laboratories and scientific centers and His Excellency directed to continue updating of specialized scientific tracks.

It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by the Presidents of the of Kufa, Al-Furat Al-Awasat Technical and Jaber bin Hayyan Medical Universities.
