During a meeting with His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the Baghdad Palace, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed on the need to pay attention to the scientific aspect as the basis of the community.

Dr. Rashid said that Iraqi universities have a good reputation and remarkable scientific sobriety, as well as their colleges and institutes have graduated many scientific competencies who have proven their worth inside and outside the country.

Mr. President reviewed the importance of strengthening cooperation with international universities, colleges and research centers to benefit from their expertise and to pay attention to the top students and provide them with support and benefit from their capabilities.

Dr. Rashid stressed on the need to adopt scientific standards to improve the status of private colleges.

For his part, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi appreciated the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq.

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed to His Excellency the progress of work in the Ministry and the plans set to develop university education and raise the scientific and academic level of Iraqi universities, colleges and institutes.

His Excellency confirmed on that many Iraqi scientific journals published in Scopus.
