During a visit to University of Al-Qadisiyah and meet with its council, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi said that development fields are directly linked to scientific and educational institutions with goals that take into account the needs of society.
Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed on that development programs cannot achieve their goals without taking into account the requirements the quality of the education system in order to be able to keep pace with changes and developments that lead to development.
His Excellency urged to work as a teamwork and the spirit of one team, develop of a comprehensive plan for the development of human resources and enhance of their qualifications in line with the implementation of academic programs and processes for improving the quality of university performance.
Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed on the importance of institutional integration between the university, which embraces scholars, teachers, researchers, students, specific energies and the governorate departments in order to assume responsibilities and provide educational, specialized and advisory services in order to establish the requirements of comprehensive development.
His Excellency honored a number of Al-Qadisiyah University employees who contributed to the completion of university projects, as well as appreciating the efforts made by the university, its administration and its staff in carrying out tasks and jobs that serve Diwaniyah Governorate.
For his part, President of the University, Dr. Kadhim Jabr Al-Jubouri and the Assistants reviewed university’s history, which includes 18 colleges, 4 research centers, more than 1510 faculty members, 24 thousand and 418 students in primary
studies, as well as 1567 students in postgraduate studies in various specializations, noting that the university continues its keenness on raising scientific levels through the application of regulations and global programmes.
It is worth to be mentioned that the visit was accompanied by the Governor of Diwaniyah, Eng. Maitham Abd Al-Ilah Al-Shahd.
