During a meeting with his counterpart, the head of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Khaled Touqan, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed prospects for coordination regarding scientific research, training, visits and mutual programs.

Dr. Al-Aboudi expressed his appreciation to the President of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission for the kind invitation to visit the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the facilities of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, which are witnessing important indicators in the field of radioisotope production, uranium mining, tests and calibrations conducted by specialized laboratories and hosting regional and international events.

His Excellency stressed on the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission and its staff’s keenness on framing the cooperation space and the projects it includes that serve the peaceful energy file of the two countries in the research and scientific fields and build productive partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries.

For his part, Head of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Khaled Touqan welcomed the visit of the Iraqi delegation and honored His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi and his accompanying delegation.

Dr. Touqan reviewed the importance of developing relations and strengthening the joint work environment in the fields of atomic energy and its peaceful and academic uses.
