During a meeting with the Chairman of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Kamal Kharrazi and his accompanying delegation, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi confirmed that Iraq and its academic institutions are looking forward to solid scientific and cultural cooperation via strengthening the strategic areas between the two countries.
Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that Iraqi universities are now competing with their counterparts in the region at the level of scientific research and international rankings, which makes them eligible for joint international agreements on scientific research.
His Excellency called for more dialogues and programs between research centers to develop cooperation in this field.
Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the two sides also reviewed the aspects of the proposed programs between university and research institutions, as well as defining the parameters of the agreement to form a joint team to follow up and implement the programs in light of the outputs of scientific coordination between the two sides.
For his part, Dr. Kharazi affirmed that Iraq possesses scientific, cultural and civilizational elements, energies, talents and capabilities that pave the way for more important indicators in the scientific and research fields.
