During a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak and his accompanying delegation, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed that the two sides highlighted methods of developing scientific cooperation via activating the joint protocol between the two countries and enabling Yemeni students to study in the Iraqi universities that have a distinguished academic history and presence.

Dr. Al-Aboudi expressed the willingness of Iraqi university institutions to admit students from the Republic of Yemen as part of the “Study in Iraq” initiative, which aims at attracting international students, especially Arabs and foreigners and facilitating residence and housing procedures within the environment of the universities in which they study.

For his part, Dr. Bin Mubarak praised Iraq’s pioneering role in the field of Higher Education, as well as praising the positive response of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi to activate the scientific cooperation protocol and prepare to admit Yemeni students in the Iraqi universities.
