Dr. Al-Aboudi Reviewed that the awards are for patents, intellectual property, distinguished university, distinguished research published in reputable international scientific journals specialized for faculty members and graduate students, distinguished final grade students’ project, student award for collective voluntary creative encouraging work, distinguished author or translator’s book, distinguished Iraqi scientific journal and distinguished research center or unit.

During a meeting with a delegation from the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, headed by the Secretary-General, Dr. Abdelmajid Bin Mohammed Al-Habib Benamara, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi confirmed Iraq’s readiness on hosting the headquarters of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils in Baghdad.

Dr. Al-Aboudi renewed the Iraqi Higher Education and Scientific Research institutions’ keenness on scientific and research cooperating with their counterparts in Arab countries and activating contexts of integration with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils in a way that enhances the development of the aspect of scientific and academic partnership.

His Excellency stressed on that Iraqi universities achieved an important achievement via modernizing educational systems and launching the Study in Iraq project, which attracted international students, as well as rising of the scientific publishing index in international institutions and increasing in competitive ranks in international rankings.

For their part, the delegation praised the stand of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi on developing fields of coordination and cooperation and the great keenness on hosting the headquarters of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils in Baghdad in order to enable Arab universities and researchers to perform the academic mission and achieve its goals.
