During a meeting with Ms. Jean Gerard Abaya, Director of the Department of Technical Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region at the International Atomic Energy Agency, on the sidelines of its sixty-seventh general conference , His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of the Atomic Energy Commission Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed aspects of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, especially scientific programs in the field of nuclear medicine and medical physics.

Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed the readiness of the specialized Iraqi staff to achieve the highest levels of scientific coordination for the purpose of training in diagnosis and treatment of cancer diseases and to activate national training centers for this scientific mission.

It is worth to be mentioned that His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of the Atomic Energy Commission Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi, heads the Iraqi delegation participating in the work of the General Conference at its sixty-seventh session of the International Atomic Energy Agency in the Austrian capital, Vienna, for 25 to 29 September 2023  as well as a number of international specialists in the field of nuclear applications were participated.
