During launching Science’s Week between Iraq and Islamic Republic of Iran, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed that the Science’s Week between Iraq and Iran summarizes the level of understanding and coordination resulting from the agreement between the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in the Islamic Republic continuing the dialogues which took place in the capital, Baghdad, Ministry’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs and the head of delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research , Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd said.
Dr. Abd Dhahd added that the excellence that the universities of the two countries hold in terms of producing scientific research and global competition in important Rankings makes them worthy of occupying positions indicated in solid academic institutions and platforms, and opens up for the two countries more areas of partnership and cooperation in many fields and understandings regarding scientific research, development programs and joint cooperation.
The Ministry’s Deputy highlighted that the Iraqi delegation, which includes a high-ranking official representation from Higher Education and its universities indicates a positive indication of interest in developing joint scientific cooperation programs between the universities of the two countries and achieving the desired level of relations with an effective impact on cultural exchange and scientific and academic expertise.
It is worth to be mentioned that the opening activities of Science’s Week which continues until the twelfth of October, included delivering a number of official speeches for Director General of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Baqir Taher, Cultural Advisors and scientific presentations on the importance of academic education and the level of understanding between Iraqi and Iranian universities with the participation of sixty universities and institutions from both countries besides public and private universities.
