During a visit to the Energy Commission’s Site and a number of its sites and chairing a meeting with its General Directors and members of the Executive Order’s Committee concerned with removing radioactive contamination, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed scientific procedures to cleanse some areas of radioactive waste.

Dr. Al-Aboudi announced on fundamental approval for establishing of a zero-sum nuclear reactor for scientific research for university students, the liquefaction site in Al-Tuwaitha being free of radioactive contamination and the end of regulatory restrictions.
