During the National Unified International Conference for Dental Colleges in Iraq, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi stressed on the educational institution’s interest in keeping pace with modern technologies, promoting innovations and employing digital tools and artificial intelligence in the medical education environment.

Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is interested in this aspect, which required it to launch its award for artificial intelligence in scientific research in the fields of medical sciences, security, defense, desertification, food and environment, with the aim at encouraging innovation and excellence in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications for scientific research.

His Excellency added that the commitment of the Ministry and its institutions to strengthen the structure of Higher Education, link it to modern technologies and develop curricula and educational and training programs in order for graduates to be armed with contemporary capabilities and skills.

Dr. Al-Aboudi expressed his confidence that Iraqi universities and their specialized colleges will enhance their achieved results in international classifications and will strengthen their partnerships with established universities with the aim at improving the educational environment and improving their outcomes now and in the future.

It is worth to be mentioned activities witnessed delivering speeches by the President of the Conference and the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, as well as His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi honored the international participants, including academics and representatives of Arab and foreign university institutions and inaugurated the exhibition of specialized companies in the field of dentistry.
