The Department of Biology at the College of Science, University of Karbala, organized a scientific trip for fourth-year students in the Medicinal Plants course to the Arboretum of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The supervision was carried out by the department’s academic staff, including (Assoc. Prof. Khansaa Abdul-Aali, M.Sc. Israa Hussam Mohammed, and M.Sc. Mais Ibrahim Mohammed).

The scientific trip aimed to familiarize students with various plants, identify important plants from a medical perspective (medicinal or nutritional), observe their diversity, different species, suitable environmental conditions for cultivation, and how to care for them to ensure the production of effective medicinal products.
