The College of Science at the University of Karbala, in collaboration with the “Then I Was Guided” cultural team, organized a cultural seminar on Thursday, February 22, 2024, under the theme “Our Lights, Our Moons.” The event commemorated the birth of the Imams of the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) in the auspicious month of Sha’ban. The seminar was honored by the presence of His Eminence, Mr. Hassan Al-Mudarris, and under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hassan Jameel Jawad.

The seminar included the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the Quranic reciter Hassanin Al-Jazairi, a speech by the Dean Professor Dr. Hassan Jameel Jawad, and concluded with a lecture by His Eminence Mr. Hassan Al- Mudarris on the occasion of the birth of the five moons (peace be upon them).

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural identity, avoiding negative influences from the surroundings, and addressing some of the challenges and difficulties faced by university students along with suitable solutions.
