Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on that the Executive Office of the Association of Arab Universities held its first meeting at the University of Baghdad to review a number of topics on the agenda in preparing fo launching of the Union’s General Conference in conjunction with the it’s sixtieth anniversary.
For his part, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama confirmed that Iraq is one of the founding member States of the Association of Universities and that the presence of the presidents of Arab universities to participate in the activities of the general conference hosted by the capital, Baghdad, for the first time, pushes towards greater integration between Arab educational institutions.
For his part, President of Baghdad University , Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf welcomed hosting of the Union’s Executive Office and the work of the General Conference, which will provide a positive climate for mutual support and scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and their Arab counterparts.
