The College of Science at the University of Karbala, in collaboration with Al-Sayyida Khadija Al-Kubra Hospital, organized a scientific seminar on tumors, their diagnostic methods, and treatments.

The seminar, featuring presentations by Dr. Narges Hadi Mansour, an instructor in the Chemistry Department, and Dr. Qusay Mohammed Al-Tamimi, a breast cancer consultant, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer to prevent the spread of tumors to other parts of the body, thereby complicating treatment.

The seminar explained the mechanism of tumor spread, distinguishing between benign and malignant tumors, and identifying the categories most susceptible to tumor development.

Participants from Al-Sayyida Khadija Al-Kubra Hospital showcased modern and advanced devices used in diagnosing breast tumors, along with various types of chemotherapy, hormonal therapies, and modern radiation therapies employed in tumor treatment.
