The College of Science, under the supervision of the Dean, Dr. Hassan Jameel Jawad, organized an event titled “Women and the Building of Economic Development in Iraq.” The celebration, coordinated by Dr. Iman Talib Kareem, the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Human Rights Committee at the college, included various activities such as reading the national anthem, reciting Surah Al-Fatiha for the souls of Iraq’s martyrs and Gaza’s victims. Additionally, there was a documentary highlighting the history of International Women’s Day, Professor Dr. Rafel Taha Hassan one of the faculty members at the College of Education for Human Sciences, delivered an informative seminar on the role of Iraqi women throughout history, emphasizing Islamic recognition of women’s duties and rights. The event concluded with the screening of a documentary showcasing prominent Iraqi women in various scientific fields, followed by the honoring of distinguished female faculty members and staff with certificates and gifts.
