Karbala University has begun preparing 1700 Iftar meals for dormitory students under the direct supervision of the university president, Professor Dr. Basim Khalil Na’il Al-Sa’idi, and the administrative assistant, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, along with several professors and staff members.
University President Professor Dr. Basim Khalil Na’il Al-Sa’idi stated, “As a gesture of respect for this holy month, a communal Iftar banquet was organized for dormitory students residing in the university complex, including those from various Iraqi provinces, as well as foreign students who joined this year as part of the Study in Iraq initiative.” He emphasized that such humanitarian initiatives strengthen social aspects and foster a sense of parental care among students and their academic environment. The university has undertaken various initiatives like these to cultivate bonds of love among all.
Dr. Haider Ghareeb, the director of dormitory departments, explained that this initiative will continue throughout the holy month, providing daily Iftar meals for over 1700 students residing in the student housing complex and dormitories for female students.
