Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Hassan Jameel Jawad, the Student Activities Unit organized a solemn memorial ceremony on Thursday, April 4, 2024, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) under the banner “I am the city of knowledge, and Ali is its gate,” held in the college’s conference hall.
The ceremony witnessed a notable attendance of faculty members, staff, and students who gathered to honor the memory of the Commander of the Faithful (AS) and draw inspiration from his noble principles.
The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs.
The ceremony included a valuable religious seminar delivered by Sheikh Hazem Al-Sultani, who discussed the biography of Imam Ali (AS), his heroic stances, and his pioneering role in spreading Islam and great human values.
The memorial ceremony was well-received by the attendees, who praised the efforts of the College of Science in commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS) and promoting the noble values and principles he embodied.
