The College of Science, Department of Physics at the University of Karbala, organized a seminar titled “Fundamentals of Solid-State Physics.”
The seminar, presented by Assistant Lecturer Amir Jawad Fadhil, aimed to introduce the basics of solid-state physics, covering topics from atomic structure and chemical bonding to the various properties of solid materials, including mechanical, electrical, thermal, and magnetic properties.
The seminar also highlighted the most important practical applications of solid materials in modern technology. Solid-state physics is a crucial foundation for understanding and developing many of the technologies and devices we use in our daily lives. This field will continue to drive research and development, uncovering more innovative properties and applications of solid materials in the future.
