Karbala University Organizes on-site Training Course on Alternative Energy Uses and Their Importance for Human Life and the Environment

The College of Science, Department of Physics at Karbala University organized a training course titled “Alternative Energy Uses and Their Importance for Human Life and the Environment.”

The course aimed to highlight the importance of using renewable energy sources to preserve the environment and achieve sustainable development.

The course included several topics to shed light on the close relationship between energy and the environment. Energy production, transportation, and consumption processes directly affect the environment. The main environmental impacts include air, water, and thermal pollution, along with solid waste disposal. The focus was also on renewable energy sources, as they are natural, sustainable, and inexhaustible, and are considered environmentally friendly. Solar energy, in particular, was emphasized as the primary source of energy on Earth. The benefits of using renewable energy sources were discussed, which include economic improvement and environmental protection. However, these sources may face challenges such as their dependence on variable weather conditions, which can affect energy production.
