Dr. Hassan Faisal Naama Al-Yasari, a faculty member at the College of Science and Director of the Graduate Studies Department at the University of Karbala, has published a scientific research paper titled “Utilization of Polypyrrole Compounds with Zinc and Nickel Oxide Nanoparticles in the Removal and Determination of Lead from Contaminated Water” in a British journal indexed in Scopus and Clarivate, ranked in the first quartile (Q1) with an impact factor of 7 and a CiteScore of 11.4.
The research aims to prepare nanomaterials from polypyrrole compounds combined with zinc and nickel oxides to be used for the removal of lead from contaminated water. Dr. Hassan Al-Yasari, Director of the Graduate Studies Department, stated that this study could be employed for purifying contaminated water from toxins and harmful elements to the environment and public health. It can be practically applied in projects for providing safe drinking water to citizens.
