As part of the fruitful scientific collaboration between the College of Science and the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Narjis Hadi Mansour, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, chaired the committee for a master’s thesis defense on the role of stress biomarkers following percutaneous coronary intervention.

The study, presented by student Rasha Mohammed Sharmoogh from the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala, specializing in clinical chemistry, focused on evaluating certain biomarkers in coronary artery disease patients before and after catheterization.

The study recommended using these biomarkers to predict the potential damage to patients following catheterization procedures.
