During a joint press conference with the Chairman of Defence Industries Commission, Eng. Mustafa Aati Hassan, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi inked a scientific agreement on enhancing cooperation in the fields of scientific research, technological development and support for innovation.

Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed that the agreement stipulates the development of educational and training programs to build capacities in fields of common interest, exchange expertise, information and resources, provide academic and research support for projects and approve graduate student projects in specializations that serve the applied and field research required by the Commission’s work, especially in specializations related to the development of defense industries.

His Excellency added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities are keen on integrating with State’s institutions and meeting their needs according to the vision and strategy of the Iraqi Government and its Ministerial program and curriculum for specialized research, technical and technological support and providing training opportunities.

For his part, the Chairman of Defence Industries Commission, Eng. Mustafa Aati Hassan expressed his appreciation for the great interest by Ministry’s institutions in strengthening the joint workspace and providing qualitative expertise in the fields that serve the work of the Commission at the scientific and advisory level.
