During representing the Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani and participating in the ceremony of the International Youth Day organized by the Supreme Council for Youth, which was held by Mustansiriyah University, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi stressed that it is a source of pride, responsibility and happiness to represent the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth, Mohammed S. Al-Sudani on this occasion in which young people celebrate their international day, which coincides with the anniversary of the founding of the Supreme Council for Youth.

Dr. Al-Aboudi announced on launching the National Team for Digital Youth, which will include a thousand young men and women who are specialists and interested in the digital field to be the nucleus for leading the digital transformation, supporting pioneering ideas and providing innovative solutions in the environment of sustainable development, in which Iraq, through its universities and academic institutions, scored the seventh globally and the first in the Arab world in Times Higher Education Sustainable Development Rankings.

His Excellency announced on launching the registration form for robotics and artificial intelligence centers, the launch of a thousand loans to support projects in the digital sector and the completion of the procedures for launching the national strategy to eliminate digital illiteracy, which includes important axes on educating society about the digital sector and how to use digital technology and benefit from it through a group of diverse programs and events, training, qualifying and creating programmers capable of achieving positive change in the digital field, supporting and sponsoring youth projects in the digital field financially, morally and technically and establishing four digital locations in Baghdad, Nineveh, Basrah and Karbala that include centers and forums for young programmers, digital training and development climates and incubators for digital businesses.

Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed that the Iraqi government is committed to supporting the youth segment and benefiting from their energies and creativity in the fields of innovation and excellence.
