Dr. Al-Aboudi said the following:-
▪ We achieved 90.18% in implementing the government program for the year 2023 and we are awaiting the issuance of program implementation indicators in the first half of 2024.
▪We succeeded in obtaining international accreditation from (WFME) for medical colleges and launching the Study in Iraq program to attract international students.
▪Global rankings are important in the field of international reputation and more than 100 government and private universities are present in most classifications and Iraq achieved 37th place in the Times Ranking.
▪Thirty specialized Iraqi scientific journals in Scopus and Clarivate and we achieved a third of the publication of Iraqi scientific research out of 147509 in containers within two years
▪The Bologna Process applied in technical universities and science and engineering specializations gives a large space to the student and links university education to labor market variables
▪The Prime Minister supported the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and ordered financial rewards for scientific research and global publishing the scholarship file is given special importance.
▪The evaluation exam revealed the level of competition between public and private universities and we took scientific measures and administrative decisions according to the results of the central exam.
▪The level of private universities improves through the scientific research index and twinning programs with distinguished international universities
▪In 2030, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will admit one million students at once, and the private sector must be in addition to the public sector to accommodate this increase.
▪We have developed a realistic plan to admit students in postgraduate studies, which has reached nearly 30,000, and we are working to fill all study seats according to merit.
▪The ninth amendment to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Law has entered into force and we rely on efficiency in selecting university leaders.
