University of Karbala Organizes Workshop on “Mental Health and Its Impact on Individuals and Society”

The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Science, University of Karbala, organized a workshop titled “Mental Health and Its Impact on Individuals and Society.”

The workshop, led by Prof. Ahmed Abdul-Hussein Al-Azirjawi, Head of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Karbala, covered the components of a balanced personality according to Freud’s psychoanalytic theory. It emphasized the importance of mental health for both individuals and society by fostering religious and human values for a stable social character that can engage effectively in work and study.

This workshop coincided with World Mental Health Day on October 10. Notably, the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has called for programs aimed at promoting good morals and providing a supportive environment for students.
