The Department of Biology at the College of Science, University of Karbala, organized a scientific field trip for fourth-year undergraduate students (morning session) studying Pathogenic Bacteria and Endocrinology. The trip was conducted under the supervision of the faculty and technical staff responsible for these courses.

The purpose of the visit was to explore the specialized units and laboratories at Al-Kafeel Specialized Hospital and to familiarize students with the advanced equipment and diagnostic procedures used for handling various clinical cases and samples. The visit included key hospital units such as CT scan, MRI, dialysis, nuclear diagnostics, and vision testing units.

Students also toured the microbiology, virology, and hematology laboratories, gaining insights into the high-precision instruments employed in these facilities. They were introduced to the procedures for handling, preserving, and transporting patient samples to the laboratory for final diagnostic processing, ultimately aiding physicians in prescribing appropriate treatments.
