The College of Science at the University of Karbala has organized a training course titled “Chemical Safety and Security.”

The course aimed to introduce the fundamentals of laboratory safety, focusing on administrative and engineering aspects, as well as personal safety equipment, including laboratory construction and appropriate engineering arrangements.

The course covered topics such as laboratory management, organizing materials and equipment based on their scientific significance and proper usage, training personnel, and providing personal safety guidelines. These guidelines emphasized respiratory protection from vapors generated during reactions, as well as the protection of the face, skin, clothing, and footwear.
