Under the slogan “(If You Prepare Her)” and under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Women’s Affairs Department held its first Festival of Development and Creativity with the participation of all governmental and private universities. This festival aims to document women’s contributions and encourage their activities, promoting their development on all levels. It also seeks to highlight the distinctive activities and initiatives conducted by the Women’s Affairs divisions and units across all formations of the ministry.

Karbala University had an active participation in the festival, showcasing a variety of artistic paintings, handicrafts, and manual creations. As part of the festival’s events, leading governmental universities achieving the highest completion rates within the framework of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women were honored. The University of Karbala was awarded the “Plaque of Giving” with the “Women, Peace, and Security” prize. This recognition reflects the achievements of the Women’s Affairs divisions and units at Karbala University.
