The College of Science at the University of Kerbala, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Hasan Jameel Jawad Al-Fatlawi, participated in the activities of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week. The event was held today, Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the Umm Abiha Hall at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her). It witnessed the presence of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Iranian Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, the Governor of Karbala, and Member of Parliament Firas Al-Muslawi, in addition to a large number of university presidents, college deans, and academics from Iraq and Iran.
The event included the signing of a scientific and academic cooperation agreement between Iraqi and Iranian universities. This agreement aims to strengthen mutual collaboration in scientific research and the exchange of academic expertise, reflecting the commitment of educational institutions in both countries to fostering connections for sustainable development.
Attendees emphasized the significance of such initiatives in solidifying scientific and cultural ties between the neighboring countries, underscoring the need for continued efforts to enhance academic and research endeavors.
