The Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Karbala, organized a training course on water purification from contaminants. The course aimed to explore mechanisms for removing pollutants, harmful elements, and heavy metals from water.

The course covered multiple topics, including the study of different types of water pollutants, an explanation of physical, chemical, and biological purification techniques, as well as a review of modern technologies and a discussion on the challenges of water treatment in Iraq.
