College of Science Organizes a Training Course on “Types of Environmental Pollution in Iraq”

The Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a training course titled “Types of Environmental Pollution in Iraq,” designed for students and those interested in environmental issues. The course aimed to introduce various types of pollution and their effects on the environment and public health.
The session covered several key topics, including:
Chemical pollution, such as elevated levels of lead and zinc.
Radiation pollution, including increased levels of radon gas and uranium in the environment.
The causes behind the rise of these pollutants in Iraq.
Recent environmental statistics linking pollution to rising disease rates, particularly cancer.
