The Department of Biology at the College of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a field visit for second-year undergraduate students (morning study) to the Public Health Laboratories in Karbala. The visit aimed to enhance the practical application of laboratory analysis techniques.
During the visit, students explored several specialized units, including Microbiology, Parasitology, Food Testing, Water Testing, Virology, PCR Unit, Blood Collection, and Malaria Unit. They were introduced to diagnostic and testing mechanisms, particularly in detecting contaminants and disease-causing microbes.
Laboratory specialists provided detailed explanations of the equipment and standard procedures used, helping students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The visit offered valuable hands-on experience, strengthening their skills in health and laboratory sciences.
