The faculty of Science at the University of Kerbala organized a scientific seminar entitled “Freedom of Expression and Individual Rights in the Holy Qur’an”, given by Assistant Lecturer Ali Kadhim Awad.

The seminar aimed to highlight the significance of women’s rights in Islam and to demonstrate how the Holy Qur’an addresses these issues in a comprehensive and distinguished manner.

Topics discussed included the status and rights of women as outlined in the Qur’an, with a particular focus on the rights to education, marriage, and personal choice. The seminar also emphasized the importance of fair treatment of women, the principle of gender equality, and explored contemporary challenges facing women, offering examples of female empowerment in accordance with Qur’anic teachings.
