The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a workshop titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Combating Cybercrime”, presented by Dr. Rafif Fawzi Najm and Assistant Lecturer Basma Mustafa Mohammed.
The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness of artificial intelligence technologies and their application in detecting cybercrimes and enhancing cybersecurity, while also clarifying the types of cybercrimes and the challenges involved in addressing them.
The event covered three main themes: Artificial Intelligence, Cybercrime, and the Role of AI in Combating It. It was held as part of the implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security – under the pillar of Protection and Prevention.
This workshop reaffirmed the importance of utilizing modern technologies to strengthen cybersecurity and confront negative phenomena, particularly those affecting women, as part of the college’s ongoing efforts in awareness and community support.
