The Eco-Friendly Group at the College of Science – University of Kerbala has completed the first phase of its Noise Pollution Monitoring Project, which covered the corridors of the college. This effort comes as part of the group’s initiative to reduce the negative impacts of noise and improve the educational environment.
A comprehensive scientific plan was prepared before launching the project, relying on reputable scientific sources and defining an implementation mechanism in line with approved environmental standards.
The first phase resulted in the preparation of a detailed report identifying areas of noise pollution within the college. The report was submitted to the college administration in order to take appropriate actions and implement solutions to mitigate this issue.
Responsibility for completing the second phase of field measurements, which will cover all university colleges, was assigned to Research Assistant Asia Salem Ahmed and Biologist Kawakib Aboudi Hanoun, in preparation for expanding the scope of the project across the entire university.
