The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that one hundred and twenty-eight Iraqi universities and colleges have achieved competitive scores in the 2025 Webometrics World University Rankings.

 

Higher Education added that the ranking results (https://www.webometrics.org/iraq) reviewed that thirty-two thousand universities around the world competed according to indicators measuring clarity by (50%), transparency by (10%) and research excellence by (40%).

 

reviewed demonstrated that the current edition witnessed a rise in the Iraqi universities index, with the University of Baghdad obtained the first score among one hundred and twenty-eight Iraqi institutions, as indicated by the official ranking website of the Supreme Council for Scientific Research in Spain.
