Assistant Lecturer Haider Rahim Ali, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science University of Kerbala, has published a scientific study focused on the synthesis of new organic compounds and the evaluation of their biological activity through advanced laboratory assays. The research also incorporates molecular docking studies to elucidate the mechanisms of interaction with potential biological targets, thereby enhancing the prospects for their application in future pharmaceutical developments.
The study was published in the Journal of Fluorescence, an international journal issued by Springer, which is indexed in Scopus (Q2) with a Scientific Journal Rank (SJR) of 5.4 according to the 2024 SCImago classification. It is also indexed in Clarivate – Web of Science, with an Impact Factor of 3.10 as reported in the 2024 Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
This scientific achievement represents a significant contribution to strengthening the academic ranking of the University of Kerbala and enhancing its research standing both locally and internationally.
