Faculty Member from the University of Kerbala Participates in a Master’s Thesis Defense at the University of Diyala

Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Mustafa Kazem, faculty member in the Department of Physics at the College of Science – University of Kerbala, took part as a committee member in the defense of a master’s thesis by student Sarah Ali Mohammed from the College of Science – University of Diyala, entitled:

“Enhancement of (Co, Zn, Cu, Bi) Ferrite through Heat Treatment for High-Frequency and Antimicrobial Applications.”

The study focused on preparing doped ferrite nanocomposites and examining the effect of heat treatment on their structural, magnetic, and antibacterial properties. Results revealed improvements in crystal structure and magnetic saturation (Ms), along with enhanced antimicrobial activity due to Bi doping, making these materials promising for advanced electronic applications.

The defense committee praised the scientific efforts and outcomes of the research, while the University of Diyala acknowledged this academic contribution by issuing a letter of appreciation to Dr. Kazem Mustafa Kazem.

The College of Science – University of Karbala also commended Dr. Kazem’s participation, emphasizing that his scholarly contributions strengthen his academic standing and enrich the University’s research and teaching mission.
