Under the patronage of the Governor of Kerbala, Eng. Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi, and in implementation of the Strategic Plan for Iraqi Women within the Participation Axis, the Department of Women, Family, and Children, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, organized a training workshop entitled “Training Candidates for the 2025 Iraqi Parliamentary Elections” at the Human Rights Hall in Kerbala.

The workshop aimed to empower participants to design and implement effective electoral campaigns through the use of communication tools and the development of persuasive messages, thereby enhancing the positive presence of female candidates in the electoral landscape.

The workshop was delivered by two lecturers from the faculty of Science at the University of Kerbala, Asst. Lecturer Zainab Khudair and Asst. Lecturer Fursan Abdullah, who addressed several key topics, including electoral strategies, cybersecurity and digital identity protection, and the differences between male and female electoral campaigns.

They explained that a successful campaign proceeds through three main stages: planning and preparation, implementation and public engagement, and follow-up and evaluation, emphasizing the importance of building an effective electoral message and its core components.
